These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the Lumi mobile application ("App") operated by Lumi ("we," "our," or "us"). By using the App, you agree to these Terms.

1. Acceptance of Terms

By downloading, installing, or using the App, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the App.

2. Description of Service

Lumi is a personal finance management application that helps you track and manage your expenses. Key features include receipt scanning, monthly budget tracking, weekly financial scores and insights, a personal financial coach, spending analytics and category breakdowns, price comparison across retailers, manual expense entry and data import, and shopping lists. The App is provided for informational purposes only.

3. Account Registration

You must create an account to use the App. You are responsible for:

Providing accurate and complete information
Maintaining the security of your account
All activity that occurs under your account

You must be at least 13 years old to create an account.

4. Subscriptions and Payments

Free Tier: The App offers limited free features including a limited number of receipt scans per month.

Premium Subscription: Additional features are available through a paid subscription. Subscriptions are processed and managed entirely by Apple through the App Store.

Payment is charged to your Apple ID account at confirmation of purchase
Subscriptions automatically renew unless canceled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period
You can manage and cancel subscriptions in your Apple ID account settings
No refunds are provided for partial subscription periods — refund requests must be directed to Apple

5. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

Use the App for any unlawful purpose
Upload fraudulent, misleading, or harmful content
Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the App's systems or other users' data
Interfere with or disrupt the App's functionality
Use automated systems or scripts to access the App beyond normal use
Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the App

6. Intellectual Property

The App, including its design, features, and content, is owned by Lumi and protected by intellectual property laws. You receive a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the App for personal, non-commercial purposes.

7. User Content

You retain ownership of the receipt images and data you upload. By using the App, you grant us a limited license to process, store, and analyze your data solely to provide and improve the service.

8. Disclaimer of Warranties

THE APP IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED. We do not warrant that:

The App will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure
Results obtained from the App will be accurate or reliable
Any defects will be corrected

The App is not a substitute for professional financial advice. Spending insights, price comparisons, and recommendations are generated automatically and may contain errors. You should not rely solely on the App for financial decisions.

9. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, BUDGETAI SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, OR GOODWILL, ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE APP.

Our total liability for any claim arising from these Terms or the App shall not exceed the amount you paid for the App in the 12 months preceding the claim, or NIS 200, whichever is greater.

10. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Lumi from any claims, damages, or expenses arising from your use of the App, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any third-party rights.

11. Account Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account at any time for violation of these Terms. You may delete your account at any time through the App's settings.

12. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Israel. Any disputes shall be resolved in the competent courts in Israel.

13. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by posting the updated Terms in the App. Your continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
